I realize this is a very, very old post...but thought I'd put in my 2ยข worth: I believe it is Aloe grandidentata. Blooms/inflorescence would help nail down the ID further.

I believe this is a Pereskia. Could be P. aculeata, but bahiensis is thornier-not sure very common to find.
